Elmbridge Eagles U16s Achieve Honours with Scotland!

Congratulations to Elmbridge Eagles U16s Jack Smith and Nathan Kosbab who have won their third International Cap for Scotland against Ireland at the home of Newcastle Thunder R.L club. The game was fiercely contested as you would expect with Scotland winning by 30 -24.

It was match day at London Broncos and some lucky Elmbridge Eagles were able to be mascots on the day and to watch the game afterwards against St Helens.

Today was the long awaiting London Broncos Festival! Elmbridge Eagles had a great day playing against the other London Teams and played superbly.

The under 14s were in fine form this week and still remain unbeaten all season, as they reached the Final by beating Hemel Stags 16 v 4 in the semi finals.  The finals are next week! Go Eagles!!

Well done to our Open Age side who won their first game of the season against Newham Dockers 28 v 0.  This side is young and only promoted to the London Men's Premier League last season so this is a great achievement!

Elmbridge Eagles Primaries Festival!

It was a marvellous day of Rugby League with nearly 200 kids from across London involved.

The U14s played a 9s tournament at home at Elmbridge against 8 other London teams and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Bromley Bengals (Cup Winners), Medway Dragons (Plater Winners), St Albans, Rutlish Raiders, Richmond Warriors, Invicta Panthers (Plate Runners Up), Brentwood Eels,  Elmbridge Eagles (Cup Runners Up) and a guest player from Hemel Stags all played.

Elmbridge Eagles took part in the last Festival of the season at the Hive in Wembley and then took part in the parade round the pitch at Wembley Stadium before the Challenge Cup Final. What an amazing end to the season it was!

The Primaries had a great time playing at the London Skolars Festival. Our U7s, U9s and U11s all played against other London Teams, including Richmond, Brixton and Skolars. as well as playing alongside kids from other clubs in a London Barbarians side. Thanks to London Skolars for arranging the Festival! 

Elmbridge Under 13s were also at London Skolars where they beat the home team 36 v 24

A depleted young Open Age team battled hard against a more experienced Medway Dragons team. They competed well in the first half going into the half time break only trailing 26 - 16.  However, the second half saw a well drilled Medway team dominate as Elmbridge ran out of fresh legs.

Well done to Finlay Steer and Nick Wright. Both stepping up into playing for the Senior section of the Club and also helping with coaching the Primaries section. Nick also recently qualified as a match official and officiated his first Junior game for the Club.
